Description
The ASB Officer PO1 position is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about fostering community engagement and enhancing the wellbeing of community members through effective support services. As an ASB Officer, you will play a vital role in addressing Anti-Social Behavior (ASB) within the community, working closely with residents, local authorities, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies aimed at reducing ASB incidents. You will be responsible for investigating complaints, gathering evidence, and liaising with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure a harmonious living environment. This role requires a proactive and empathetic approach, as you will directly interact with affected individuals and offer guidance and support through appropriate channels. Responsibilities
Investigate reports of anti-social behavior and gather evidence to support interventions.
Work closely with community members to understand concerns and provide appropriate support and advice.
Collaborate with local authorities, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations to address ASB issues effectively.
Develop and implement community engagement initiatives aimed at preventing anti-social behavior.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to ASB incidents and interventions undertaken.
Attend community meetings and forums to discuss ASB issues, gather feedback, and promote community initiatives.
Provide training and information to residents and stakeholders on best practices for reporting and addressing ASB.
Requirements
A degree in social sciences, community development, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of anti-social behavior issues and their impact on communities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively to find resolutions to complex issues.
Experience in community engagement or a similar role is advantageous.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to anti-social behavior and community safety.
Proficient in using technology for reporting and documenting incidents and managing cases.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
