Utility Surveyor – Night Shift and Working Away
Location: North West England + Nationwide
Pay: Expected earnings £65,000 - £70,000+ pa

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Utility Surveyors / GIS Field Technicians to join a leading drainage and surveying contractor operating across the North West and nationwide.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Utility Surveyor looking for stable work, strong earning potential, and involvement in technically challenging surveying projects.
This is a field-based role ideal for surveyors with strong GIS and HADDMS data capture experience, who are prepared and able to working day and night shifts and staying away from home as the role requires.
Pay & Benefits
- Days: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour
- Nights: £20.00 – £22.67 per hour, plus additional enhancements
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates (time and a third to double time)
- Travel time paid
- Working away subsistence allowance
- Expected earnings £65,000 - £70,000+ per year
- 30 days holiday
The Role
- Carry out CleverScan utility surveying with a strong focus on positional accuracy
- Collect and record GIS and HADDMS-compliant data on site
- Upload and manage survey data through internal GIS systems
- Work closely with CCTV and HADDMS survey teams during investigations
- Support and mentor colleagues, contributing to ongoing training and technical development
- Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and to required industry standards
About You
- Proven experience as a Utility Surveyor / GIS Field Technician
- Strong understanding of GIS data capture and HADDMS requirements
- Prepared to working- night shifts and working away from home
- Detail-focused with a commitment to data accuracy and quality
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider survey team
- Full UK driving licence (essential)

- Monday to Friday
- Minimum 50 paid hours per week
- 90% night work
- 90% working away from home
- Travel time paid at enhanced rates
