Summary

We're looking for a CAD Engineer to join our KierBAM team based in Plymouth.

Location: Plymouth, Devonport Royal Dockyard - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

Join our collaborative team at KierBAM, a joint venture between Kier and BAM Nuttall, working on an exciting Royal Navy dockyard refurbishment project in Plymouth. As a CAD Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring design excellence and technical accuracy while enjoying a supportive and inclusive workplace.

What will you be responsible for?

As a CAD Engineer, you'll be working within the technical design team, supporting them in delivering high-quality drawings and models for our prestigious Devonport project. Your day to day will include:

-Creating and reviewing detailed technical drawings, with particular focus on rebar design and structural elements

-Ensuring all work complies with ISO 19650, BAM and CAD standards

-Providing thoughtful technical support and mentoring to team members

-Collaborating with Document Control to validate drawings before client submission

-Contributing to a positive team culture by sharing your expertise and knowledge

What are we looking for?

This role of CAD Engineer is great for you if:

-You have experience in rebar design and structural drawing production

-You're proficient in AutoCAD/CIV3D with working knowledge of Revit

-You have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
