Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the Company's financial operations by managing accounts payable, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within an agricultural environment. The ideal applicant will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong organisational abilities to ensure smooth financial processes.

General Overview of Job Role
Sales Ledger
• · Weekly invoicing
• · Sending monthly statements
• · Assisting with credit control
• · Processing DD’s
Purchase Ledger
• · Clearing, posting and disputing supplier invoices
• · Checking supplier statements
• · Assisting with payment run/s
General
• · Ensure timely month-end completion
• · Producing reports as required
• · Maintaining the group email
About You
• Proven experience working with accounting software such as Sage
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
• Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Agricultural accounts background or experience in working in an agricultural environment is desirable
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
• Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts role
• AAT Level 3 (desirable) or be qualified by experience
• Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly
• A professional, friendly communication style and a collaborative approach
• High standards of integrity and confidentiality
• The ability to work independently while enjoying being part of a small team
