Summary
Clinical Leadership Work with CPPO and Division Leads to ensure engaged workforce, strong leadership, and safe, high-quality services. Guide development of psychologically informed approaches across all CHP service lines. Lead and implement changes to psychological therapy delivery in collaboration with senior colleagues. Deliver appropriate assessment, formulation, and interventions, and communicate plans clearly to referrers and teams. Provide specialist psychological expertise and consultation to professionals and agencies. Contribute to risk assessment and management procedures. Strategic Leadership Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement departmental strategy. Support development of responsive, accessible services for patients and families. Interpret national and local guidelines to ensure compliance. Facilitate delivery of commissioned services and partnership working with stakeholders. Contribute to Trust-wide service development, governance, and quality initiatives. Support workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development. Professional Governance Work with CPPO to ensure governance of psychological practice. Line-manage designated staff, ensuring performance appraisal and professional development. Provide systems for clinical and professional supervision across the department. Manage psychological resources and contribute to financial control and audit processes. Direct Clinical Care Undertake complex clinical assessments and interventions. Formulate and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based practice. Provide clinical supervision and specialist advice to other professionals. Teaching, Training and Supervision Ensure supervision systems for all psychology grades. Provide teaching, training, and consultation to staff and external agencies. Support clinical placements for trainee psychologists and contribute to doctoral training programmes. Research and Service Evaluation Promote and implement research and audit programmes. Advise on service evaluation and contribute to Trust-wide research initiatives. ICT Responsibilities Use IT systems for communication, documentation, and dictation technology for efficiency. General Maintain professional standards, comply with codes of practice, and engage in CPD. Ensure adherence to Trust policies, safeguarding, infection control, and data protection requirements. ***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as Priority and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
