Are you an experienced Sexual, Abortion care or Women’s Health Nurse looking to progress your career?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Band 7 Nurse Practitioner.
Thisfull timepost will be based across our services at the Community Women’s Health Service at Mile End Hospital, Ambrose King Centre in Whitechapel, Sir Ludwig Guttmann Centre in Stratford (plus associated satellite clinics).
Across all our services we have an established service model of nurse delivered level three sexual health provision. We are looking to recruit a dynamic nurse to join our existing team who provide integrated termination of pregnancy and sexual health care to a diverse population in North East London.
You will be an experienced nurse who is able to work independently, demonstrating higher level skills for managing patients seeking termination of pregnancy, sexual health and contraceptive care. Key responsibilities include;
· Providing termination of pregnancy, sexual health, contraceptive care and advice within a level 3 service. This will include providing LARC, so you will already be competent in the fitting and removal of sub dermal implants, and have the underlying knowledge ready to be trained in Intrauterine contraception if not already competent in this.
· Operational co-ordination and management of the clinics
· Line management of a team of band 6 and 5 Nurses and band 3 Health Care Support Workers.
· Deputising in the absence of the Lead Nurse
· This post is only for nurses able to work independently across the speciality
· This is afull timeposition (37.5 hours per week)
