Summary

Crematorium Attendant
Starting salary between £24414 and £28152 per annum

Full time – 37 hours per week
Based at Mintlyn Crematorium, Kings Lynn

If you take pride in maintaining high standards, can work independently with sensitivity and professionalism, and want to contribute to a service supporting bereaved families, we would like you to join our dedicated team at Mintlyn Crematorium.

In this varied role, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the crematorium across all areas. Duties include the daily cleaning and presentation of the chapel, public spaces and wider complex; assisting with the preparation and maintenance of memorial and garden areas; supporting the cremation process and carrying out routine equipment checks; and acting as Chapel Attendant to provide assistance before, during and after services. You will also undertake the strewing and interment of cremated remains and ensure all public areas are welcoming and well maintained for visitors.

You will hold, or be willing to work towards, the cremator operator qualification and be capable of undertaking a range of physical tasks. You will be confident working alone when required, able to follow procedures accurately, and have an appreciation of the needs of the bereaved. Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance varying priorities are essential.
