This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on complex litigation work, enjoys courtroom advocacy, and wants to build on their expertise within a supportive, high‑performing team.

The Role

You'll work closely with senior lawyers across a broad and varied caseload of social housing matters, including:

  • Managing litigation relating to tenancy breaches and anti‑social behaviour
  • Running possession and injunction applications
  • Defending housing disrepair claims
  • Advising on tenancy clauses, succession, mutual exchange, and assignment issues
  • Representing clients at court hearings
  • Working with a strong portfolio of Housing Associations and Local Authorities

For litigators with a solid grasp of CPR and a desire to deepen their housing litigation expertise, this role offers genuine challenge, development, and high‑quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the team in delivering outstanding service to major public sector clients
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and building strong client relationships
  • Supervising and assisting junior team members where appropriate
  • Handling your own caseload with autonomy while collaborating effectively within the wider team

What We're Looking For

This firm would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong litigation experience and a solid understanding of Civil Procedure Rules
  • Prior exposure to social housing litigation (desired but not essential for strong litigators)
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and client‑care skills
  • A proactive approach, sound judgment, and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence in managing priorities
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Effective time‑recording and administration skills

This role suits someone who wants to step into a fast‑moving practice and add real value from day one.
