Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our highly specialist service at Chailey Clinical Services. Working primarily with children and young people attending Chailey Heritage Foundation School and residences, you will provide expert physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice for those with complex neutralizability and multiple neurological conditions.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within a nationally recognised centre, working as part of a large, supportive multidisciplinary team.

In this role, you will work as anautonomous practitioner, managing your own caseload and delivering individualised physiotherapy programmes. Your work will include:
• Completingcomprehensive assessments, diagnostic procedures and clinical reasoning for children and young people with complex needs
• Developing and reviewingspecialist treatment and postural management plans, including assessment and prescription of equipment
• Providinghighly specialised adviceto families, colleagues and education/care staff
• Taking responsibility formanual handling assessmentsand safe use of physiotherapy equipment
• Working collaboratively with the wider MDT including teachers, nurses, medical staff, OTs, SLTs and social care teams
• Participating inmultidisciplinary and multi-agency clinics, including tertiary services
• Communicating complex or sensitive information clearly and compassionately to families and professionals
• Maintaining accurate records, reports and discharge summaries in line with Trust policy
• Supporting service development, contributing to clinical governance and engaging in audit, research or evaluation projects
Although the post is primarily based withinChailey Heritage Foundation School, you will have opportunities to gain experience in other parts of the service, including theFutures Young Adults Service,Rehabilitation and Transition Service, andOutpatient clinics, with occasional home visits during school holidays.
