There is an opportunity for a Medical Advisor (Disease Area Specialist (DAS)), Innovative Medicines, to join their Medical Affairs global team on an initial 6-month rolling contract.

Your new role
As a highly motivated individual, you will join their Medical Affairs team as a Medical Advisor (Disease Area Specialist (DAS)), Innovative Medicines, which is a varied and challenging role focused on delivering medical expertise across the breadth of the innovative Medicines portfolio.

You will be a trusted and respected partner to both their internal and external stakeholders, having a strategic role in their respective therapy areas, anticipating future needs of the business, and fostering and driving innovative solutions.

You will be responsible for maintaining deep scientific knowledge of the products and therapy areas covered to act as an expert both internally and externally.This role will also encompass New Products Planning, providing medical expertise to assess opportunities for early-stage assets to inform launch and commercialisation decisions, as well as providing medical assessments and expertise for late-stage portfolios.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will hold an Advanced scientific or clinical degree, ideally be a UK registered pharmacist.
  • You will have expert experience in Medical Affairs in early, mid and late-stage product lifecycle management.
  • You will have experience of product strategy development, product launch and experience in Medical Information and managing vendors.
  • You will be trained in the UK Code of Practice with practical insight into UK compliance.
  • You will be proactive with strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to engage teams across multiple cultures in order to drive for optimal outputs for both the global and local teams.
  • You will be comfortable dealing with challenges arising from different countries and driven by solution-finding.
