A major infrastructure project in Essex is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery works on an infrastructure site within a rail environment. The role will focus on engineering control, quality assurance, and technical compliance.
Key Responsibilities-
Setting out using GPS / Total Station

Managing and maintaining Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

Overseeing QA documentation, including:
-
As-built records
-
Check sheets
-
Method statements and inspections
-

Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme
-
Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and client representatives
-
Identifying and resolving engineering and quality-related issues
-
Supporting health & safety compliance linked to engineering activities
-
Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil or infrastructure projects

Strong setting out experience

Good knowledge of QA procedures and ITP management

Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality

Valid CSCS card
-
Rail experience preferred but not essential

Up to £300 per day (maximum)
