Summary

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Joiner to carry out a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks across residential apartment blocks and communal areas. The ideal candidate will be skilled, detail-focused, and confident working independently across multiple sites.
A full UK driving licence is required due to the need to travel between managed blocks.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry & Joinery Works
• Carry out installation, repair, and replacement of communal and internal doors, frames, architraves, and skirting boards.
• Install and repair kitchen units, worktops, shelving, flooring, and other timber components.
• Fit and repair window boards, handrails, stair components, and general timber structures.
• Install ironmongery such as hinges, locks, handles, and door closers.
• Undertake planned and reactive joinery maintenance tasks across multiple sites.
Planned & Reactive Maintenance
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests raised by property managers or residents.
• Inspect and diagnose joinery-related faults and recommend the most effective solutions.
• Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to a high professional standard.
• Maintain accurate job records including photos, materials used, and completion notes.
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Follow company safety procedures and relevant UK building regulations.
• Carry out works safely within occupied residential buildings.
• Highlight any hazards, structural concerns, or compliance issues discovered on site.
• Work responsibly around fire doors, fire-rated materials, and load-bearing structures.
Customer Service & Communication
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, property managers, and contractors.
• Provide updates on job progress, material requirements, and expected completion times.
• Represent the company positively at all times.
Tools, Equipment & Vehicle
• Maintain personal and company tools in excellent condition.
• Keep the company vehicle clean, organised, and roadworthy.
• Manage stock of commonly used joinery materials and hardware.
Skills & Experience Required
• Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter in residential or property maintenance settings.
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, timber materials, fixings, and building best practice.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload across multiple sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Competent using a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Full UK driving licence (required).
Desirable Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
• CSCS card or other site safety certification.
• Fire door installation or maintenance experience (advantageous, not essential).
• Experience working in residential blocks or property management environments.
