ROLE TITLE: Test Engineer
LOCATION: Leicester, London or Manchester
The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.
We are actively looking to secure a Test Engineer to join Experis.

Job Purpose/The Role:
This role forms part of a government organisations flagship customs transformation programme, joining an experienced delivery team focused on supporting and enhancing IBM's testing of the UK's central Customs application.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a high‑profile national transformation programme by supporting the testing of a large‑scale, central government application.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand and validate user and system requirements.
- Develop clear and comprehensive test scenarios based on functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Execute test cases to assess system functionality, accuracy, performance, and reliability.
- Document test outcomes, identify defects, and track issues through to resolution.
- Work closely with the wider delivery team to enhance testing processes and support continuous improvement activities.
- Help ensure the quality and robustness of a mission‑critical system used across core national services.
Your Skills:
- Minimum 5 years UK residency
- Hands‑on experience with Performance Testing
- Working knowledge of Cucumber for automated testing
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience using JIRA for work management and issue tracking
- Familiarity with Confluence for documentation and collaboration
