ROLE TITLE: Test Engineer
LOCATION: Leicester, London or Manchester
The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.
We are actively looking to secure a Test Engineer to join Experis.

Job Purpose/The Role:
This role sits within a high‑profile national transformation programme, working as part of an experienced delivery team to support and enhance the testing of a major central government application.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a high‑profile national transformation programme by supporting the testing of a large‑scale central government application.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand and validate user and system requirements.
- Define clear, detailed, and accurate test scenarios based on functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Execute test cases to assess system behaviour, quality, and overall performance.
- Document test results, identify issues or defects, and track them through to resolution.
- Work closely with the wider delivery team to refine and improve testing practices and processes.
- Ensure testing activities support the delivery of a reliable, secure, and high‑quality mission‑critical system.
Your Skills:
- Minimum 5 years UK residency
- Experience in Performance Testing
- Hands‑on experience with Cucumber for automated testing
- Proficiency in Java
- Practical experience using JIRA for work tracking and issue management
- Familiarity with Confluence for documentation and collaboration
