- At least 6 months of UK-based experience working in a residential children’s home (within the last 2 years)
- Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour, autism, learning disabilities, or mental health needs
- Current PVG for working with children (or willingness to obtain one)
- Trauma-informed, person-centred approach and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- A passion for helping young people thrive, and a commitment to learning and development
- Restraint/breakaway training (e.g., Level 3/4) is highly desirable – or willingness to complete it via our in-house training
- Providing 1:1 emotional and practical support to children and young people in residential care
- Supporting them to build independence, emotional regulation, and resilience
- Following individual support plans, promoting positive behaviour, and managing risk
- Encouraging engagement in routines and community activities
- Working closely with families and professionals under GIRFEC and SHANARRI principles
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring the highest safeguarding standards
- Only candidates with recent residential childcare experience will be considered
- We do not offer visa sponsorship – you must have the right to work in the UK
- Overseas experience cannot be considered – UK-based experience is essential
- Pay rates vary by shift type – bank holiday rates reflect the upper end
