Summary

CASUAL SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED TO COVER MATERNITY SHIFTS IN NORTH AYRSHIRE.
REF 09/WestKilbride/MN

The hours and length of shifts will be discussed at interview. Continuing as a casual worker will also be discussed.

Rate of pay is £13.73 per hour.

Between 4-8 hours per week.
Driver preferred. 6 months probationary post and contract of employment will be provided 2 references required, one being your last employer.
You will be required to undertake PVG, Disclosure Scotland, this will be paid by the employer however if you leave your employment during probation you will be required to reimburse.
Job Specifics
You post will be to support a young lady to stay safe and feel comfortable out and about when away from her family members. The young lady is looking to build her confidence and experience new activities within her local area.
You must be able to build positive relationships with people and gain trust. Be able to set good boundaries and have a consistent approach in a non -demanding way.
Working day/night will commence from the family home and you will support to various activities.
Activities may include going out to integrate within the local community. Going to the cinema or out shopping or for lunch. The young lady enjoys music and live events and would welcome a worker with a cheery disposition who likes animals, as there are family dogs.
You must also be able to use your initiative and have the ability to research activities and interests that the young lady may enjoy.
Your support role is to encourage the young lady to grow in confidence, support with monetary skills and feel like she has her needs and wishes met when out and about. Support is required to support the young lady to become as independent as possible
As a driver you will be required to show your insurance documents advising of your business use. Any costs for fuel/ meal will be discussed with the family before heading out on activities.
Risk enablement and assessment will be high on the radar when out and about as the young lady is very vulnerable on roads and has no idea of harm of risk in many situations.
