Summary
Pinnacle Group are looking for a diligent Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. You will be joining our Soft FM Grounds Maintenance teams who are based around the Southampton area and travelling to numerous NHS sites across Southampton, Portsmouth and Basingstoke.
Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations – including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care.
Your responsibilities will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, weeding, and general landscape upkeep of NHS sites (surgeries, health centres, offices and other facilities). A full UK Driving Licence will be essential.
You will have a keen eye for detail, be physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic. If you are passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful, safe outdoor environments, we would love to hear from you.
This is a seasonal position starting on Monday 16th March and it will end on 31st October.
Hours for the job will be working 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Mowing, edging, and maintaining lawns to keep them neat and healthy.
- Trimming and shaping hedges, shrubs and bushes to promote growth and improve appearance.
- Removing weeds from flower beds, pathways and other landscaped areas to prevent overgrowth.
- Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as well as preparing soil and beds.
- Clearing debris, litter picking, sweeping pathways, and maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas.
- Safely operating machinery such as mowers, strimmer and leaf blowers, along with maintaining tools and equipment.
- Driving company vehicles to transport equipment and access multiple sites as required.
- Performing seasonal duties like leaf clearing, frost protection, or preparing sites for different weather conditions.
Key requirements:
- Full driving licence
- Experience in using gardening power tools
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and safety procedures.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
