Summary
Temporary Nursery Manager – Maternity Cover (Rochester Area)
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join our team in the Rochester area on a temporary, term-time-only basis to cover maternity leave.
This role is expected to run until November, however there is the possibility of an extension, depending on service needs. Working hours are 9:00am–2:30pm each day.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will lead and support the staff team, work closely with parents and carers, and ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily nursery operations
Leading, motivating, and supporting staff
Ensuring compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and welfare
Building positive relationships with families
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a nursery management or deputy management role
A Level 3 childcare qualification or above
Strong leadership and organisational skills
A good understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
