Summary
One-to-One Secondary Tutors Required (SEMH / Alternative Provision)
We are seeking qualified secondary teachers or experienced tutors to provide one-to-one tuition in Maths, English or Science for students in and around Berkshire who are currently out of mainstream education.
This role suits teachers looking for a part-time, flexible alternative to mainstream secondary teaching, while continuing to be paid at classroom teacher-equivalent rates. Work is delivered on an individual basis, supporting students with SEMH and re-engagement needs.
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Role Overview
- Part-time, flexible one-to-one tuition for KS3/KS4 students
- Subjects: Maths, English or Science
- Students may present with SEMH needs, anxiety, or school refusal
- Off-site tuition delivered locally
- Supported by and reporting to our SENDCo
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status preferred
- Ability to teach at least one of the listed subjects
- Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
- Ability to travel locally
- SEMH or alternative provision experience is advantageous
