The Food Safety Officer will oversee various aspects of our food safety program, including conducting regular inspections, implementing food safety protocols, and providing training to staff on best practices. As a key member of our organization, you will engage with multiple stakeholders, from food handlers to management, to promote a culture of food safety awareness and compliance. You will be responsible for analyzing data and trends related to food safety and will be instrumental in driving improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of food handling and processing facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Develop and implement food safety training programs for staff and stakeholders
Monitor and analyze data related to food safety and identify areas for improvement
Investigate food safety incidents and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with local health departments and regulatory authorities on food safety matters
Prepare detailed reports on inspections, audits, and training sessions
Stay updated on food safety laws, regulations, and industry best practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field
Certification in food safety management (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £19.17
