Summary

Nursery Manager – Level 3+ – Up to £50,000



Our client, as established early years setting with a strong outdoor and forest school ethos is looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead day-to-day operations. The nursery places a clear emphasis on time outdoors, high-quality provision, and consistent standards across all rooms.



Before You Apply



  • This role requires recent experience managing a nursery or early years setting.

  • Applicants must be confident leading inspections, staff performance, and compliance.

  • This position is not suitable for candidates without a relevant Level 3+ childcare qualification.



Key Job Details



  • Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (depending on experience)

  • Hours: 40 hours per week, all year round

  • Contract: Permanent

What You’ll Need



  • Level 3+ qualification in Early Years

  • Proven experience as a Nursery Manager

  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements

  • Confidence managing staff performance, ratios, and daily operations

  • History of good or outstanding Ofsted ratings


Desirable



  • Experience in a forest school or outdoor-led nursery setting

  • Additional leadership or management training



What You’ll Do



  • Lead the daily operational management of the nursery

  • Maintain high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding across all rooms

  • Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and follow-up actions

  • Manage, support, and develop the staff team

  • Oversee compliance, policies, and quality assurance

  • Work closely with families to ensure consistent, high-quality provision
