Summary
This post would be suitable for motivated Doctors who have completed Foundation and Core Medical competencies (or equivalent), have successfully passed parts 1 and 2 of the MRCP examination and wish to gain a period of focused experience and training in acute medicine. This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain clinical experience in Acute Medicine, rotating through the busy and varied acute assessment unit (AAU) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC). There is a unique opportunity to participate in developing new SDEC pathways to enhance the service. As per personal interest, the postholder may also participate in the general medicine registrar on-call rota, hence holding full MRCP will be desirable.
