Summary
We have an opportunity for a nurse to join our vaccination team.
Thisroleformsanintegralpartofvaccinationdeliveryundertakenfor maternity services.
The successful candidate will providehighqualityclinicalcaretopatients,inlinewiththeTrustvaluesandinaccordancewith professional regulations.
They will workinlinewithTrustpolicies,objectives,protocolsandlocalguidelines,whilstalsobeingawareof the importance of their role in supporting members of the team, and always adhering to the Trust values, and in accordance with NMC regulations.
Workautonomouslyandwithothersto alwaysdeliverhighstandardsofcareto patientsandtheir carers, autonomously and as part of a team.
CommunicateinlinewithTrustvalues,topatients,carersandstaffatalltimes.
Takeeveryopportunitytocontinuetodevelop,practice andexpandtheirowngeneralandspecialist nursing skills.
Maintainhighstandardsofprofessionalandethicalresponsibility,andaccountabilityandbeawareof the medico-legal aspects of nursing, in line with professional, regulating and local guidance.

The post holder will work as part of a team in delivering a safe and effective service for the deliveryofvaccinationswithin maternity services.
Thepostholderwillundertakeallelementsoftheconsenting,vaccinationpreparationanddeliveryofthevaccine
Inparticular,thepostholderwillberesponsiblefor:
• Deliveryofasafeimmunisationservice,assistingtoinfluence andfacilitatechangewithin the setting and service areas.
• Conductingbasicclinicalassessments/takeconsentofpatientspriortovaccinations.
• Ensuringthebestpossibleclinicaloutcomesby usingup-to-date skillsandadheringtoevidence-based policies and procedures
