Summary
The Band 3 Bookings Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Trust’s temporary staffing operations.
This position ensures that clinical and administrative areas are adequately staffed by coordinating the placement of Bank and Agency personnel.
The role requires excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery.
Coordinate and manage shift bookings using the Healthroster/BankStaff systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
Liaise with clinical and administrative teams to assess staffing needs and confirm shift allocations, where appropriate.
Respond promptly to booking cancellations and reassignments, offering suitable alternatives to maintain coverage, where possible.
Support recruitment processes including scheduling interviews, assisting with onboarding, and responding to queries from temporary workers.
Process documentation for payroll and audit purposes, e.g. medical certificates.
Train and mentor new Booking Co-ordinators and contribute to the development of training materials.
Maintain up-to-date records and generate reports on staffing activity.
Promote a positive image of Staff Bank Services through professional and courteous communication.
Participate in service improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to booking procedures.
Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Support Resourcing initiatives, which may include out of hours events.
Carry out any other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the band.
