Summary

Early Years Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic early years professional ready to make a real difference in the lives of young children? We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school team, working across Nursery and Reception classes.

Start Date: After February Half Term
Inner London Borough of Hackney
Contract: Full‑Timem Temp to perm role
Opportunity: Potential to train as a teacher from September 2026
£500 -£550 a week

Who we’re looking or

We welcome applications from individuals who:

• Are an EYFS graduate or hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Are passionate about supporting the learning, development and well‑being of young children.
• Ideally have experience in writing reports, observations and assessments to support pupil progress.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willing to get one.

Role Overview

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the delivery of high‑quality learning experiences across Nursery and Reception classes.
• Help create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
• Observe, assess and contribute to children’s progress records and report writing.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and families to support each child’s individual development.
