Summary
Role overview
The Whittan Group is the largest manufacturer of steel storage products in the United Kingdom. Operating through a number of
market leading brands; we design, manufacture and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments in the UK
and Europe.
We are looking for a Distributor Sales Assistant to support the sales and distribution team by coordinating day to-day operations,
assisting with order processing, maintaining accurate records, and providing customer support to ensure smooth and efficient
distribution of products. This role plays a key part in driving sales performance, enhancing distributor relationships, and
ensuring that customers receive timely, high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handling daily sales enquiries, including specification and design using D360 software.
* Assist the sales team in managing distributor accounts, ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time.
* Maintain and update sales databases, price lists, and distributor records.
* Coordinate with logistics and inventory teams to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
* Handle inquiries from distributors, providing product information and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
* Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to the sales team and management.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, sales agreements, and pricing structures.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or distribution (preferred).
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with distributors and internal teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM or ERP systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
