This is an excellent opportunity for the postholder to gain experience in inpatient forensic psychiatry in a Trust with multiple possible opportunities for further career development.
The duties include clerking in new admissions; working with the multidisciplinary team to provide day-to-day psychiatric and physical health care of a high standard to a patient group with complex needs; providing physical healthcare with access to our primary healthcare team as needed; reviewing patients in seclusion; participating in and minuting team meetings; preparing CPA reports; and contributing to the ongoing assessment, management and monitoring of the ward patients.
Although the post does not include routine participation on the hospital on-call rota, the post holder can be supported to contribute to the rota by choice.
