Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable care professional to join our supportive and growing care agency in the Cwmbran area. As a care assistant, you will deliver person-centred care and support to service users, helping them live with dignity and respect. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, hygiene, and mobility, as well as performing manual handling duties using appropriate equipment such as hoists and slide sheets.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to service users, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life
Assist with personal care, hygiene, and mobility, using manual handling techniques and equipment as required
Support service users with meals, medication prompts, and companionship, helping to promote their overall wellbeing
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery
Promote a safe and respectful environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and regulations
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 6 months experience in care work, with a strong understanding of person-centred care principles
Manual handling training and confidence using equipment such as hoists and slide sheets
A caring, empathetic, and professional attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and reliable, punctual attendance
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a care team
