Summary
We're looking for a Health and Safety Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Winchester, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Safety, Health & Environmental Technician.
Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Winchester, Hampshire
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £20,800
Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?
As a Health and Safety Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Safety, Health & Environmental Technician, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to support in the overall design, build and maintenance of infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.
Your day to day will include:
-Identifying potential hazards and reporting risks
-Checking that PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is being used correctly
-Assisting in maintaining accident records and incident reports
-Supporting health and safety officers in conducting site inspections
What are we looking for?
The role of Health and Safety Apprentice is great for you if you have:
-5 GCSE's grade 4 or above including English and Maths
-The ability to handle working in varying weather conditions
-Willingness to learn
-Self-motivated, punctual and organised
