Summary
Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Nursery Deputy Manager to join a high-performing team in Lambeth. This is a vital leadership role where you will support the Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care and education while acting as a role model for the practitioner team.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support: Assist the Manager in the daily running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of safety and education are met at all times.
Pedagogical Leadership: Lead by example in the rooms, helping to develop and implement a creative EYFS curriculum.
Compliance & Ofsted: Ensure the setting remains compliant with all regulatory requirements and is always prepared for Ofsted inspections.
Staff Mentoring: Support the professional development of Early Years Practitioners, providing guidance and conducting peer observations.
Safeguarding: Act as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the wellbeing of all children is the top priority.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5 or Degree preferred).
Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Room Leader or Deputy Manager within a UK nursery setting.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a deep passion for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Location: Ideally based in or able to commute to Lambeth, Brixton, Vauxhall, or Waterloo.
