Your new company
An inner city Primary School based in North Birmingham is looking for a Part Time Business Manager (3 days a week). The role is 3 days a week to cover long term sickness and to start as soon as possible.
Your new role
The Business Manager role will be to provide support to the Headteacher to ensure the effective leadership, management and administration of the Academy with specific overall responsibility for Estate & Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Risk Management, HR and Financial Management ensuring that the Academy meets all legislative requirements and policies are fully implemented. This will also include responsibility for all non-teaching requirements of the school including Finance and Budget Management, HR, Premises and Facilities Management, Catering, School Clubs, Marketing and Grants and Health and Safety.
The school will only consider applicants with relevant experience within a school environment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally need to have experience of dealing with aspects of premises management and in particular running contracts, health and safety and carrying out risk assessments. We are looking for someone with experience of managing and monitoring budgets and producing end of month management accounts. Applicants will need to have a financial and/or SBM qualification and be able to demonstrate their experience in all of these areas. This is a senior appointment in the school and you will need to show strong leadership skills to be able to communicate clearly and sensitively with staff and parents
