Are you an experienced Building Surveyor seeking a high-impact role within a dynamic Multidisciplinary Consultancy? Stafford Lawrence is partnering with a prestigious firm (offering PM, QS, and BS services) on the outskirts of Oxford to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor to join their established team.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work across a sophisticated and diverse project portfolio. You will manage high-value schemes ranging from the rapidly growing Life Sciences and Commercial sectors to High-Quality Residential projects and prestigious private estates across the Cotswolds.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this senior-level appointment, candidates must demonstrate:
Experience: 5+ years of Building Surveying experience within a professional consultancy environment.
Status: Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) is highly preferred.
Technical Breadth: Strong expertise across both project and professional services, specifically:
Level 3 Building Surveys & Detailed Condition Reports.
Project Management and dedicated Private Client Representation.
Technical Due Diligence (TDD) & Acquisition advice.
Contract Administration & Specification writing.
Dilapidations (Landlord & Tenant) & Defect Diagnosis.
Experience in Party Wall matters is highly desirable.
Sector Knowledge: Proven experience in Commercial and Residential projects. Specific exposure to High-Quality Residential projects, R&D facilities, or Life Sciences is a significant advantage.
Leadership: Ability to manage prestigious client relationships independently and mentor junior surveyors or APC candidates.
Driving: A valid, clean UK driving licence is essential for site visits across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
The Role: Multidisciplinary Excellence
Collaborating closely with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, your duties will include:
Project Leadership: Managing complex schemes from inception to completion, with a focus on Private High-Quality Residential sectors and Oxford’s Life Sciences/Commercial hubs.
Professional Services: Executing Level 3 Building Surveys, building pathology, PPM surveys, and providing expert advice on Party Wall matters and dilapidations.
Client Management: Acting as the key point of contact for high-net-worth private clients and corporate developers.
Technical Delivery: Writing precise specifications and managing refurbishment and fit-out contracts.
Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary: £45,000 – £58,000 (Negotiable DOE).
