Summary

Domiciliary Care Worker Abergavenny and Crickhowell, Competitive Pay, Mileage Allowance and payment for travel time between client visits

Role Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team in Abergavenny and Crickhowell, providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering personalised care services, promoting healthy living, and supporting clients with daily tasks, ensuring they receive the best possible care in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities

Travel between clients' homes, providing care and support in a domiciliary care setting, including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and toileting
Administer or prompt medication, ensuring clients receive the support they need to manage their health and wellbeing
Prepare meals and support clients with nutrition, promoting healthy eating habits and assisting with meal planning
Help with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping, enabling clients to maintain their independence
Offer companionship and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a friendly presence, and supporting clients with social interaction
Support moving and handling, ensuring safe movement around the home, and assisting with mobility aids


Required Skills & Experience

6 months' experience in care, preferably in a domiciliary care setting, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills
Willingness to undergo a DBS check, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients, and commitment to providing high-quality care
Driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance
