Summary

Main duties and responsibilities:

- To be part of the team providing front-line support in Registry handling enquiries;

- To assist in maintaining paper and electronic student records including information concerning student registration, assessment and awards; filing and archiving paper student records as required;

- To work as part of the central student administrative and department administrative teams to ensure efficient and effective service delivery;

- To assist in organising the formal examination periods including preparation of examination papers; timetable; seating plans; attendance; invigilation and special examination needs for individual students;

- To assist with the administration for the University Awards & Progression boards and communicating decisions to students and staff;

- To assist with the preparation of data for certificates and liaising with external printers for production and delivery. To attend and issue certificates to graduating students for relevant degree ceremonies;

- To assist with the administration of academic appeals liaising with students, programme convenors and the Deputy University Secretary;

- To assist with induction and registration procedures and to take an active role during enrolment, when required;

- To gather and disseminate information on request from the Registry Officers, Senior Registry Officers and Deputy Academic Registrar;

- To undertake any other requirements commensurate with the seniority of the post/as required by the head of service.
