What you’ll do
As our Search and GEO Lead, you’ll make a visible impact as you manage the creation and delivery of our strategy. As part of this, you’ll make sure that search, content optimisation and user experience are working together to support the bank’s wider business goals.
You’ll set the direction for how we design and produce content that performs well in Large Language Models and other AI-driven environments. By managing and mentoring team members, you’ll help to build a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
You’ll also:
- Oversee technical SEO, content optimisation and user experience improvements across NatWest domains
- Partner with website, content, compliance, legal, brand, creative, paid media, social and digital PR teams to amplify organic reach
- Monitor organic performance and translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Evolve reporting frameworks and dashboards to improve visibility of organic performance and impact
The skills you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring deep organic media expertise, as strong leadership skills and a passion for shaping the future of search. It’s important that you can demonstrate extensive experience of leading SEO strategies and delivering best‑in‑class organic performance. Ideally, you’ve already shaped content strategies for LLMs or AI-driven platforms in a previous role.
We’ll also expect you to have:
- A strong understanding of both traditional SEO and the emerging discipline of Generative Engine Optimisation
- Proficiency using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to evaluate performance and inform decision‑making
- A clear understanding of the UK search market, as well as regulatory and accessibility requirements.
- The ability to lead multiple initiatives, manage complexity and work collaboratively across large, matrixed teams
- Experience of coaching and developing others, helping teams grow their skills and impact
