Salary: Grade C (SCP 4-6)
Actual Pay - £7,114 to £7,341 p.a.
Hours: 3:15pm until 5:45pm (12.5 hours per week)
Monday Friday (Term Time Only)
Contract Type: Permanent

At St Thomas School we are excited to be launching our new After School Club which will offer on site out of hours provision for our pupils.
We are proud of our nurturing and vibrant community and this new service will provide further opportunity for our pupils to flourish.
We are now seeking a dedicated Playworker to support our After School Club Manager each evening after school.
Are you a person who can help our children shine by combining fun, care and creativity to help our pupils enjoy their additional time in school?
This rewarding role is perfect for someone who is imaginative and is able to create fun experiences for children in a safe environment after school each day.

About the Role:
As our After School Playworker you will:
Have a vision in how you will support our After School Club Manager in establishing our new provision
Support the daily running of the club
Support a safe and welcoming environment for children who attend the club
Make a real difference to children aged 4 to 11
Uphold the Mission and Values of our Church School
Respect and work within the framework of school policies
Promote the vision of our newly established After School Club
Administer First Aid (Training will be provided if necessary)
What We are Looking for:
Experience: Working with children aged 4 to 11 in a play or childcare setting
A caring person who can balance fun with responsibility
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting a wide range of quality play activities
Ensuring the setting is safe, clean and ready for each session
Supporting pupils, making sure all children feel included and welcomed
Building strong relationships with parents and carers
Organising healthy snacks for each day
The post holder may reasonably be expected to undertake other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility that may be allocated, at the discretion of the Head Teacher and to meet the needs of the school.
