Summary

Type letters and reports as required within agreed timescales for any of the specialties within the Planned Care Directorate subject to training. Retrieve, log and return casenotes/medical records, keeping these in accordance with Trust policy. Communicate efficiently and professionally with colleagues, clinicians, other Trust personnel, and external agencies at all levels, promoting a positive image of the Trust at all times. Maintain a working knowledge of hospital systems so that enquiries can be dealt with efficiently and appropriately. Very occasionally, take and provide minutes of meeting as required. Participate in team meetings, audits and reviews as instructed by Team Leader in order to generate ideas for service improvement. Use own initiative when dealing with enquiries, ensuring all local procedures and Trust procedures and policies are adhered to, and enquiries are dealt with promptly and courteously. Be responsible for actions and outcomes of enquiries. Responsible for working within safe systems of work, especially in terms of handling patient case notes. Comply with all statutory regulations, procedures, Trust standing orders, standing financial instructions and Trust policies in general.
