We are looking for a PA to work with our smiley five-year-old with PMLD. Though he cannot walk or talk he loves to laugh and have fun outdoors or doing anything physical as well as playing on his iPad and with switch toys.
We need someone with energy and initiative to engage and entertain him so he can be the fun cheeky little boy he is.
The regular hours would be Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays collecting from Palatine school at 2:45pm until 4:45pm (though happy to discuss more hours if needed). Further shifts during holidays and occasional weekends possible too if interested.
Shifts include PEG feeding and administering medication though this can be at home where a parent would be working from home to offer guidance if needed, however experience in these areas is highly desirable.
Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Other relevant duties as required
- Transportation
- Companionship
