Summary

English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from as soon as possible until March 2026

Duties as English Teacher:

• Deliver English lessons across relevant year groups using pre-prepared materials
• Teach with no planning or marking responsibilities
• Support pupils with SEMH needs using consistent and appropriate strategies
• Reinforce key learning objectives and promote positive engagement
• Maintain behaviour expectations and a calm classroom environment
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental routines
• Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
• Good communication and organisational abilities
• Proactive, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil development
• Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
