Summary

Skilled TIG Welder (Titanium Specialist)

Alfreton, Derbyshire (DE55)
£17 per hour
Full-time | Temp (with potential to go perm) | Day Shift

About the Role

We are a well-established precision engineering company with a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced TIG Welder, with a particular focus on Titanium welding, to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a welder who takes pride in their work and enjoys producing high-quality, precision components in a professional engineering environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Setting up and operating TIG welding equipment


  • Welding a range of materials including Titanium, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Mild Steel


  • Selecting and using appropriate welding wire grades for different applications


  • Working from engineering drawings and specifications


  • Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety


    MIG welding, machining, and sheet metal skills are advantageous but not essential.

    Skills & Experience Required

    Essential:

    • Proven experience with TIG welding


    • Experience welding Titanium


    • Knowledge of welding wire grades and material applications


    • Ability to work independently and to a high standard


      Desirable (but not required):

      • MIG welding experience


      • Machining skills (lathe, miller, etc.)


      • Sheet metal fabrication (cutting, bending, rolling)


        Hours of Work
        • Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm


        • Friday: 7:00am – 11:00am


        • Saturday & Sunday: Closed


        • Bank Holidays: Closed


          Requirements
          • GCSEs or equivalent (preferred)


          • Fluent English (required)


          • Right to work in the UK (required)


          • Ability to reliably commute to Alfreton DE55 or relocate before starting
