Summary
Company Overview:
We are a specialist window shading and curtain contractor working on high quality residential and commercial projects across the UK and Europe. Our head office is in Watford and we operate a dedicated curtain workroom in Harleston Norfolk.
The Role:
We’re looking for a reliable, flexible and hands-on team member to join us in a varied hybrid role combining company driving and on-site support.
This is a majority driving-based position, collecting & delivering our goods nationwide, and occasionally throughout The Netherlands & Belgium.
Alongside driving, you’ll support our installation engineers, assisting with site preparation by laying out goods and assisting on site to ensure installations run smoothly.
Working Pattern:
Variable - depending on delivery/collection schedules.
Monday - Sunday (maximum working 5 days per week - minimum 3 days per week).
Key Duties:
• Driving the company Citroën Relay (large van).
• Weekly runs between Watford HQ and Harleston, Norfolk workroom
• Occasional runs to the Netherlands and Belgium (with overnight accommodation provided & overnight additional pay allowance provided for food & drink)
• European route is set to increase in frequency overtime.
• All accommodation, ferry cabins, fuel, tolls, parking, and reasonable travel expenses are fully covered by the company.
• Supporting our engineers on site, including laying out blinds and curtains ahead of installation.
• Transporting our engineers to and from site where required
• General site support for installation team.
Essential requirements:
• Full UK driving licence (clean licence preferred/ max 3 points)
• Comfortable driving a large long wheel base van
• Willingness to drive within the UK & Europe, and stay overnight when required
• Flexible, dependable, and practical approach
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely & follow safe procedures for lifting, carrying, and transporting our awnings, curtains, blinds & soft furnishings.
