Summary
English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as English Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across appropriate year groups
- Support pupils in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Assess pupil understanding within lessons and provide clear feedback
- Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and positive classroom routines
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative approaches
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of varied abilities
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
