Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Architectural Fabricator Welder to join a specialist architectural metalwork workshop based in Oldbury. This role involves the fabrication and welding of high-quality, bespoke architectural metalwork for commercial and residential projects, where accuracy, finish, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication of bespoke architectural metalwork including balustrades, handrails, staircases, balconies, gates, and feature metalwork
* MIG welding (TIG welding experience with stainless steel and aluminium is highly desirable)
* Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
* Reading and interpreting architectural and fabrication drawings
* Producing work to a high standard of finish suitable for architectural installation
* Measuring, cutting, forming, and assembling components accurately
* Carrying out grinding, dressing, and finishing work
* Ensuring all work complies with quality standards and project specifications
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop
Requirements
* Proven experience in architectural metalwork fabrication and welding
* Ability to read and work from detailed architectural drawings
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Experience producing visible, client-facing metalwork finishes
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
* Strong understanding of workshop health and safety
