Summary

Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday)

Taunton/Lympstone

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster. This role plays a vital part within the Royal Navy's Learning and Development Organisation (LDO), supporting Service Personnel as they prepare for their transition into civilian life. Working closely with the LDO Hub Team Leader, you will provide expert resettlement guidance, offer clear advice on accessible learning and development pathways for Service Personnel and their families, and help identify education and career focused opportunities that align with current and future Royal Navy promotion and training needs.

You will be required to work between offices in Lympstone and Taunton

What you'll be doing

• Provide ongoing learning and development advice to Service Personnel throughout their careers.
• Promote and support access to funded external learning opportunities, including e-learning.
• Find new ways to promote LDO Hub services using a range of media and materials.
• Work with LDO colleagues to deliver L&D interviews, schedule Hub events, and support learners.
• Provide learning resources and maintain accurate education records in JPA.
• Coordinate and approve learning credit schemes for eligible learners.
• Organise, promote, and deliver annual L&D open days and unit‑level briefings.
• Raise awareness of Resettlement support and provide 2nd Line Resettlement guidance in line with policy.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills - able to explain complex processes and provide clear and concise advice in dealings with the customer
• Plan and prioritise resources effectively - able to demonstrate effective planning and delivery of operational priorities
• Proficiency in IT - be proficient in Microsoft Office (M365) applications
• Strong Administration experience

Desirable:

• Any qualification in education and teaching, or learning and development (or equivalent)
• Experience of qualifications in Coaching & Mentoring
