The Facilities & Workplace Services Officer is key to the delivery of the Intelligent Client Function by Defra Group Property and provides reassurance on statutory duties and compliance and maintaining and enhancing good working relationships with both customers and the service provider.

Support the Facilities & Workplace Service Lead for the hub to;

  • Work with local stakeholders to understand their current and future workplace requirements.
  • Interface with the FM service providers to ensure and facilitate a seamless facilities management service provision.
  • Provide assurance to stakeholders that the workplaces occupied by their staff and visitors are legally compliant and safe.
  • Manage health and safety, premises maintenance, Business Continuity arrangements, identifying any remedial actions and acting upon them.

Please note this role is based at Defra's Newcastle Office, NE4 7YH. Travel to other sites and overnight stays may be required for meetings or training events.
