This is a long-term role starting ASAP, with a clear pathway to a permanent position.

About the Role
You will support pupils in a Year 5 classroom where clear communication and strong language modelling are essential. The role involves supporting EAL learners to access the curriculum, reinforcing vocabulary and instructions, and helping pupils build confidence in spoken English. You will also support children with SEMH needs, using a patient, empathetic approach to promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour and engagement with learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement targeted strategies and interventions.

Staff are well supported by an experienced leadership team, and Teaching Assistants are valued as an integral part of the school community. The school benefits from excellent public transport links, making it easily accessible for commuters.

What's on Offer

We welcome applications from candidates with degrees or backgrounds in psychology, speech and language, youth work, mental health, or other related fields relevant to SEN roles.
