Summary
Chemistry Teacher
Humly is recruiting a Chemistry Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting 2nd February 2026 and continuing until 1st April 2026, with a strong view to continue for the remainder of the academic year. This role would suit a committed and knowledgeable practitioner able to deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, support pupil progress, and contribute positively to the science department.
What You’ll Be Doing
Plan and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to support learning
Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and teaching resources
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues within the science department to share best practice
Support extra-curricular science opportunities where appropriate
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in secondary education
Experience teaching Chemistry to Key Stages 3 and 4
Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring pupils
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commitment to supporting the wider school community
Pay
Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day (AWR)
