Your new role
- Act as the face of the business, providing a warm and professional welcome to all visitors
- Manage switchboard calls for London and regional offices, taking accurate messages and screening sales calls
- Maintain a tidy, well‑presented reception area, kitchen, meeting rooms, and stationery supplies
- Book, prepare, and manage meeting rooms, including arranging refreshments
- Support seminars, training sessions, and evening events, including room setup and clear‑down
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, frank mail, and arrange couriers with tracking
- Monitor the London mailbox and forward emails promptly
- Assist with administrative tasks such as creating notepads, printing, posting, and updating internal systems
- Provide ad hoc support to the Office Manager and wider teams as required
What you'll need to succeed
- A polite, friendly, and professional manner with a confident telephone voice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational ability with the capacity to multitask and prioritise
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- High attention to detail and strong reliability, punctuality, and efficiency
- Ability to work independently, using initiative and problem‑solving skills
- Professional personal presentation and strong interpersonal skills
- Confidence interacting with colleagues and visitors at all levels
