Summary
CFD Engineer with combustion experience required to model reacting flows for thermal power generation optimisation.
As a Combustion Reacting Flow CFD Engineer at this leading engineering technology company who help energy transition to low carbon generation enabling existing plants to reduce emissions.
The ideal candidate will have experience simulating, analysing, and optimising combustion systems, engines, burners or furnaces, using Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD taking consideration of chemical kinetics, turbulent reacting flows, heat transfer and fuel atomization.
Responsibilities
CFD Simulation and Modelling
ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM or reactingFoam.
Reacting Flow Analysis chemical kinetics and the interaction between turbulence and chemistry.
Requirements
Master???s or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience of thermodynamics, turbulent flows, heat transfer, and combustion theory.
CFD software fluency ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, CONVERGE etc.
Internal Combustion engine, gas turbines, or furnace knowledge.
