We are looking for aMulti Skilled Operativeto join our friendly team based atTarmac Crown Farm Sand & Gravel Quarry, near Northwich. This is accessible from Winsford, Northwich, Middlewich, Rudheath, Barnton, Frodsham, Chester, Crewe, Sandbach, Congleton and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
The role ofMulti Skilled Operativeis part of a key team of Operatives producing dry aggregates material for the construction industry. As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations, asMulti Skilled Operativeyou will specifically focus on operational tasks including:
- Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery and mobile plant (including loading shovels)
- Weighbridge duties
- Loading shovel (mobile plant)
- Day to day maintenance of the plant,maintainingthe highest levels of housekeeping
- Training and operation on static plant operations to help drive plant optimisation
- Working in a team of 15 to ensure that customers getgood qualitymaterial and on-time deliveries
- Ensuring that Plant availability is maximised
- Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
- Maintaining and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety
- Compliance and awareness Health and Safety measure around the site
The Ideal Candidate
Suitable candidates for the roleMulti Skilled Operative will be able to demonstrate proven experience preferably working within a similar aggregates environment or an Industrial or Factory environment as an Operative or Labourer operating heavy plant equipment and mobile plant. Experience of quarrying preferred.
As part of an operational team, the ideal candidate for the role ofMulti Skilled Operativewill alsodemonstrate:
- Experience working within a Health and Safety based environment
- Good timekeeping and time management essential
- Experience of operating mobile plant including Loading Shovel
- Knowledge of Risk Assessments (ideally within role of Operative)
- Flexibilityto work as part of an effective Multi-Skilled Operational team, adapting to different tasks within the overall team
- Self motivationandthe abilityto motivate colleagues within the team
- Good communicationskills
- Previousexperience in mobile plant operations as a Multi Skilled Operative beneficial but not essential as training will be given to the successful candidate
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Be IT literate
- Shovel Licence (preferred not essential)
